Recently, Tom and I embarked on our twice-yearly buying trip to Atlanta – an important tradition that allows us to restock popular items for our showroom and discover new products to inspire the floral professionals in our community.
Called Atlanta Market – Summer 2025, it runs from July 15-21 and is a premier trade destination for us to source new and inspiring floral industry products. Located in the AmericasMart building in downtown Atlanta, the three-building campus, connected by skybridges, comprises 51 floors of wholesale products for a variety of industries. Sound overwhelming? It can be! But Green Mountain Floral Supply has been visiting AmericasMart for over 30 years, so we know our way around and have established long-term relationships with some of the best manufacturers in our industry.
Astute readers will recognize I’m writing this piece in advance of the market opening. This is because a family event precludes us from attending the summer show this year. But visiting our suppliers in person offers key advantages that can’t be replicated through on-line interactions, especially in this turbulent geopolitical year when chains of distribution in manufacturing, shipping, and pricing is in flux. So, while this summer’s buying trip may have looked different, the foundational purpose remained the same: restock our showroom with inspiring products to serve our customer’s needs.

Since the market wasn’t officially open, the closed showrooms and empty hallways were devoid of the usual throngs of people. But our quiet appointments gave us the benefit of unrivaled attention from our sales representatives and the opportunity to take our time browsing the collections.
We’re excited to bring home what we found! From Accent Décor we’ve sourced the new Nightingale and Ravi compotes, the Oscar bowl – a white metal version of the popular gold one – and the exquisite Jimmy budvase with its brass neck on clear glass. In the Pete Garcia Company showroom, we sourced a plethora of gorgeous new baskets in a variety of shapes and sizes, as well as incredibly realistic permanent botanicals – grapevine garland, a new ivy, eucalyptus, and a ruscus garland that beautifully mimics smilax. Their diverse offerings also allowed us to stock up on tins, glassware, and ribbons – perfect for the many floral events ahead.
Products have already begun arriving, so come in and see what’s blooming in our showroom!
