As the seasons turned across Vermont—from sugaring to summer blooms to the first flakes of winter—2025 proved to be a year of meaningful progress for our family-owned wholesale fresh flower and hardgoods supply company. Rooted in service, sustainability, and community, we embraced new ways to support our customers, the florists, designers, and crafters across the region. Here’s a look back at some of the moments that shaped our year.
Growing Our Heart: Giving & Community Impact

This year marked the launch of Blooming with Purpose, our focused giving and sponsorship initiative designed to strengthen Vermont communities through flowers, generosity, and partnership.
We are committed to supporting our community while maintaining strong partnerships with our primary customers—florists, wedding designers, event planners, and other floral professionals.
At Green Mountain Floral Supply, we believe in supporting the people and our local communities that make the floral world flourish. As a wholesale supplier, our giving focus is rooted in strengthening relationships between our business, our customers, and the greater community and we have done this with priority to local entities that align with causes and issues important to our company and staff such as animal, children and women’s health; food insecurity and mental well-being.
We also introduced an online donation request form, making it easier for organizations to connect with us and collaborate on meaningful projects.
From local nonprofits to regional events, Blooming with Purpose helped us support neighbors doing extraordinary work—one thoughtful bouquet at a time.
Putting Customers First: Events, Tools & Resources

Our customers inspire everything we do, and this year we strengthened those connections through new programs and refreshed tools:
- Revamped the Valentine’s Day Customer Survival Package to help you hit the ground running during the busiest stretch of winter.
- Fully overhauled our Rental Catalog for easier navigation and improved visual clarity.
- In partnership with Vermont Weddings, hosted our Petals & Best Practices: A Conversation Among Floral Pros evening event—an uplifting night of connection, creativity, and community.
- Welcomed guest designer Marlin Hargrove, AIFD, PFCI, AAF for inspiring Spring and Fall/Holiday education and showroom transformation.
From hands-on learning to behind-the-scenes streamlining, our goal was simple: make your work easier, more joyful, and more efficient.
A Fresh Look: Communications & Branding

We moved the needle on our brand identity in 2025:
- We proudly debuted our new website, making it simpler to browse products, access resources, and stay connected.
- New company banners, stickers, and outdoor signage elevated our presence on Swift Street.
- GMFSI sweatshirt swag and tote bags brought a little extra warmth and fun into our staff daily routines.
- Our customer community grew as we expanded our Instagram presence and launched a LinkedIn profile.
- We also introduced a quarterly newsletter “News in Bloom”, delivering tips, stories, and updates directly to your inbox.
Strengthening Our Industry Roots

This year we leaned into industry leadership and advocacy, staying engaged on the national and regional stage:
- Navigated a shifting tariff landscape, communicating updates early to keep you prepared.
- Travelled to the Atlanta Market twice and Craig Bachman in Chicago for new product sourcing and buying.
- Joined Sustainabloom’s Wholesale Nickel Program, deepening our sustainability commitments.
- Became a Bloom Supporter of That Flower Feeling and its mission to elevate everyday flower consumption.
- Attended the SAF Annual Convention, the WFFSA Conference, and actively participated on the WFFSA Education Committee.
- Supported Vermont’s creative community by attending and sponsoring the VAWP Conference.
Each of these opportunities strengthened our knowledge, expanded our network, and ensured we keep Vermont connected to the broader floral world.
Investing in Our Team: People, Training & Culture

Behind every bucket of fresh flowers and every carefully packed hardgoods order is the hardworking Green Mountain Floral Supply team in Middlesex and South Burlington. This year:
- We welcomed six new staff members, each bringing unique strengths to our wholesale operation.
- We found our first-ever Sustainability & Community Impact Intern via the University of Vermont to support our Company’s initiatives on this front.
- We hosted our first annual Driver Appreciation Breakfast – a celebration of the people who keep Vermont’s floral supply chain moving in all weather.
- Our Staff Development Day over the summer gave us time to learn, reflect, laugh and grow as a team.
People are—and will always be—the heart of our business.
